About Me

My photo
The Work of Amy Sundahl
Born in Santa Rosa, CA. Moved to Long Beach in 2005 to study painting. Began exhibiting in 2008, with Red Hands Media. Graduated in 2009 with a BA in Studio Art. Participated in the Artists as Art Broadlind Project from Dec. 2009 to March 2010 Recently exhibits include: Remnants of the Artist's Studio, with Red Hands, Hancock University, Dec. 2009 Blue, with Red Hands, Exhibit A, March 2010 Sweets for the Sweet, with Red Hands, Jet Studios, July 2010. . . . My love of painting probably began the first day my great-grandmother allowed me to use her tin palette of watercolors. Ever since I moved from a cardboard box of broken crayons, to a grown up palette of watercolors, I have been enthralled with color and paint. The drive to paint, for me, comes from my observation of light on objects, and the surprises of the way colors sit next to each other. My compositions come from every day experiences, and I hope to use those moments to convey ideas about human experience.
